Locating in Malls
Many store operations are concerned about the high rental costs of locating in malls. They must view the cost of a mall location not only in rental costs, but in terms of traffic, sales potential, and other special considerations – e.g.:
· Present tenant mix, quality of tenants, and anchor stores should relate to the type of shoppers you are trying to attract.
· Store neighboring your location should be conducive to enjoyable, efficient shopping.
· The quantity/quality of traffic must attract your target market consumer
